Announcement. Honor Play 4 - an inexpensive 5G smartphone for China

Honor Play 4 is announced at the same time as another smartphone called Honor Play 4 Pro. Despite the similarity of names, the devices are very different. So I will not mix them inside one news.

Honor Play 4 is inexpensive, but very serioussmartphone with support for 5G networks. Let’s start with the price. If you build on it, it will be easier to perceive the rest of the information. ¥ 1799 (₽17500, $ 253) for 6 + 128 GB and ¥ 1999 (₽19400, $ 281) for 8 + 128 GB.

The chipset is MediaTek Dimensity 800. Fresh, powerful enough (about three hundred thousand AnTuTu points). But obviously inexpensive, judging by the price of the devices in which it is used.

Memory, as you already understood, from 6 to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of constant. There is support for memory cards.

The battery is good, 4300 mAh. Charging is fast, but not very - 22.50 watts.

Screen with a hole for the front camera. Almost seven inches (6.81 ″, more precisely - almost like tablets from the recent past). The resolution is high - 1080 × 2400 (386 ppi). Matrix, of course, IPS.

The front camera is 16 MP. The set of rear cameras is moderately serious and fairly standard - 64 + 8 + 2 + 2 MP (main, wide-angle, macro, depth sensor).

Of the minor troubles, it is worth noting the lack of an NFC module. However, the device is presented only in China and exclusively for the local market. So it’s not even strange.
